This guy is turning into my absolute favorite Islander. Not only for what he can do on the ice, but what he does with the media. He is charming, honest and funny.
Yesterday's NHL Live telephone interview with Deb Placey and EJ Hradek was his best so far in his short Islanders' career. If you didn't get to hear it, here's the recap of it from my post on HockeyBuzz.com. It's a shame that it was a phone interview because I think Matt would have done well and had a great time at the NHL store. Oh well, next time. This is a long season, and I'm sure they'll want to speak with him again.
I've taken the day off from work, so I've decided to head out to IceWorks to see the team before they head out to visit Washington. After IceWorks, I'm going to head out to LUNCH with the Big Angry Man.
