It's All About the Net

There is still a full week before I can watch an actual Islander game. I am starting to feel the effects of withdrawal. I don't like it.

The words someone said to me before the break keep ringing in my head "It's sixteen days without NHL hockey, Dee. What are you going to do?" Obviously, I've done a lot of "nothing" other than cooking and eating. Thanks Olympics. I've gained five lbs since you started, but I now know I can make home made Lobster Ravioli and my own fried won tons and chicken eggrolls.

I just also have a bit of writer's block that I'm chipping away at. So here's something I managed to pull out of my head kicking and screaming. I credit my friends at Twitter and their forever stream of good ideas.

So, it's all about the Net. Nothing -- nothing but Net.

You are a bright, talented, intelligent woman. You mean to tell me that you can't find something else to do with your time while there is no Islander's hockey?? There is more to life than hockey. You disappoint me. Get a life! LOL!!
