Schremp's Flippin'!!

Burgers that is! And not into the stands the Chara did when he was a rookie.
But this week Rob Schremp was in town filming a commercial for ITV and yukking it up as he usual does. Now, I don't know about you but I take that as a very good sign. If you remember, the soon to be 24-year-old Center was picked up on waivers from Edmonton for the remainder of his one year deal at $715,000. Maybe the restricted free agent will get a new contract with the Islanders before his birthday on July 1st. But I'm thinking if they have asked him to come and shoot a commercial for them, there's a strong possibility the deal is imminent.

Schremp played only 44 games for the Isles, but when he did play, he was entertaining as hell both on the ice and off. "Schremp-Scampi" knows his short comings but has stick handling skills that can just stun an opponent. While his season was abruptly cut short with the knee injury, rumor has it the surgery was a success and he is looking good.

Here's hoping we hear of a deal for him real soon.
