Isles vs. Habs #Blizzard2010

In the third period of this Islander game played in front of about 3,100 brave souls at the Coliseum while every other Islander fan holed up in their houses riding out the #Blizzard2010, PA Parenteau must have heard me because I had been calling for him to score the entire night.

He was pushed around for most of the game, but he put the Isles up 3 - 0 on a Power Play goal. With a 5 on 3 advantage, the Islanders made it 4 - 0 as James Wisniewski scored his first goal since October. He had gone 23 games without a goal.

The Habs did get one back as Plekanec banked one of the post over Roli's right shoulder at 7:51 of the third.

That was all they could get passed Dwayne Roloson who was the first star of the game, again. He faced 39 shots and gave up only one goal.

In his on ice post game chat with MSG's Rob Carlin, Roli said that they were playing with more confidence, had better work ethic and were trying to eliminate the turn overs.

The Isles face the Rangers at MSG tomorrow at 7 pm. I won't be there either. But weather permitting I will be there Wednesday the 29th when Jiggs MacDonald will be back before the Islanders head off on their extended road trip.
