Kyle Returns to play Against the Capitals

So the very good news is that Kyle Okposo will be back in the line-up tomorrow to face the Washington Capitals. Somewhere I remember saying to someone on Twitter that he would probably be back by around the 20th. And the 20th it shall be.

Now, I don’t know if there will be any sort of fanfare for his return, but I would imagine the fans will be happy as hell to see him. My only concern is whether or not he’s ready to hit the ice at this level. Especially against the hard hitting Alex Ovechkin. Hopefully, Trevor Gillies will be in the line-up. Just in case!

Frans Nielsen is questionable for tomorrow, but more should be known after the morning skate.

Rick DiPietro did not practice today as he is listed as “sick” with a possible flu. Nate Lawson returned from Bridgeport yesterday after playing against the Providence Bruins. No word as of yet who will be in net tomorrow. Although I may get this info tonight via twitter feed. You get all sorts of stuff there.

Like this! Great map to show you where what food is at the coliseum. Helpful with for those pressed for time or in the mood for something specific.

Also, Islanders staff and players’ wives will be collecting new and gently worn jackets from fans before the Jan. 20 and Jan. 23 games against the Washington Capitals and Buffalo Sabres. Fans attending the back-to-back contests are encouraged to drop off the coats they are no longer in need of at the box office, gate 16 or gate 1. Fans who donate coats will receive a voucher good for two tickets to the February 17 Islanders contest against the Boston Bruins
