7thWoman & Meg Jarrell Preview Isles vs Kings

LA Fan and one of my favorite Tweeps, along with Paul Gheduzzi, stopped by the Nassau Coliseum on the first leg of their two game road trip. We decided to preview today's game and it boiled down to trying to decide "who will suck less."

Well, it turned out the Isles managed to hold on through the second period where they were out played and then even through the third period where they managed very few shots on net.  But it was Mark Streit in OT that managed to "save the day" and grab that extra point.

Isles 2 - Kings 1

Let's see if they'll be that lucky tomorrow.

Everyone Starts Somewhere

And this is where we started. The new NHLWeekly show on Sportstalknetwork.com debuted last night and truthfully -- I was a bit nervous since we really were unscripted.

It's great to talk hockey off the cuff, but another thing when you have to listen to it played back.

The saving grace was Meg Jarrell from LAKingsCourt and her fabulous info on the LA Kings season and their time in Europe. We even covered the Manchester Monarchs, Brendan Shanahan, Sidney Crosby and the Isles Home Opener.

Listen at your leisure here.

And look for NHLWeekly next Monday at 6 pm on Sportstalknetwork.com.
