Blood on the Ice

And we think it's from Witt's head. He took one hell of a crash on the ice. They are now trying to squeege it off.

We're getting the penalties now. I don't think there will be anyone in the line up. They are all getting five for fighting and game misconducts. I've heard of short benchs, but this may be rediculous.

Islanders Freddy Meyer just took 2 minutes for crosschecking when they really couldn't afford that.

With the score now 5 - 0, the crowd is starting to chant DiPi. I'm sure he's getting crazy sitting on that bench watching what's happening on the ice. You know what a competitor DiPi is. This has to be killing him.

Thompson left the box, but was told to leave the ice. And we are still waiting for that $4 mill. goal from Mike Comrie. They just can't seem to get anything set up at all.

If the game couldn't get any worse, with only 1 minute left to the period, both Comrie and Hilbert end up in the box. One for tripping one for hooking. The frustration level of this game is just killer. And I can't even drink because I have to drive. Maybe I will just eat something fattening.

I said it before, I will say it again. The Islanders will regret letting Dubie walk. I am willing to give Joey Mac time. It is still early in the season, but mark my words, we WILL miss Dubie this year.

The Isles will not be sorry they let Dubie walk. They should be sorry that they let Luongo go for the injury prone DP. Joey Mac and Dubie are at the same level in terms of talent. They are both career minor leaguers. Both are good for a few games but start staring them too often and all their weakness become greatly exposed. If Snow has any since he should start looking for another blue chip goaltender in the next few upcoming drafts. He just has to remember to not take him a No. 1 over-all.
