Ricky's Rehab Moves Forward

Yes, Virginia. There really is a Goalie named Ricky. Check the quick hit on HB.

I had one heck of a lunch period at IceWorks today. I knew I had to leave work early to take my daughter to doctor and dentist appointments today, so I decided to leave work early enough to take in some of today's practice. I am so glad I did.

Not only did I finally get my 15 minutes with the GM Garth Snow, albeit I am probably the LAST writer to do so this month. But that's okay. Some times being the last one on the list means I have so much more material to work from. But it will certainly take me awhile to put it together.

I also had the very frightening realization that some of the team members actually do read blogs on the internet. Sometimes, even mine. I started to sweat a little. That made continuing to try to ask questions somewhat difficult.

I spent some time with Jack Hillen. I was the first time I had actually attempted to ask him questions. Considering my head was still up my butt from having one of the players remind me of something I wrote a few weeks back, transcribing that two minutes may take as long as it takes me to transcribe the 15 with Snow.

If you are in the city tomorrow, stop by the NHL store when John Tavares will be heading for the first time. But if you're not in the city, you can catch up with Rick DiPietro yourself at the Team Store in Hicksville at the Broadway Mall from 6:30 - 7:30 pm. Please! Remember, these things fill up quickly and they DO cut the line off because they have to. So, get there early if you want to be guaranteed an autograph.

Okay, guess I should try to transcribe some of what I heard today.
