So that took me an hour and a half to write. Let's see how long the next one takes me. Ugh. My nickname should be turtle.
7:47 am: This is what happens when you're trying to work two different websites at once. I never finished this post last night because a good chunk of it disappeared. Working on finishing it now.
Okay, let's see if I can lose this post too.
With Milan Jurcina getting his first short handed goal as well as his first Islander goal, he set the stage for a little excitement here at the Coliseum. Jurcina got an even strength goal and then Josh Bailey made it 3 as he managed to get one past Craig Anderson.
But at the 17:41 mark, the Avs get on the board with a deflection past Roli. Okay, that was Chris Stewart's goal. So he fought at the 5 second mark and got the first Avs goal. Interesting.
Johnny Z did a few fan videos outside the Coliseum before the game. Everyone seems real excited about Josh Bailey. Let's see what he can do tonight.
And we have Cupcake Gourmet Islanders Cupcakes here in the Press Box as Steve Lepore from SB Nation made the trek down to get one.
@ChrisBottaNHL had an interesting quote from James Wisniewski regarding his unfortunate suspension:
Regrets, James Wisniewski? "Absolutely. Stuff like that can't be done in a game." Said all the right things.
Konopka and Stewart drop the gloves at 5 seconds. FIVE Seconds. And that may be about all he plays tonight.
Well, I lost my entire post about the great goals that have made it 3 - 0 Islanders. I am going to get a cup of tea and go scream quietly in the ladies room. Excuse me.
