Isles vs. Avs on ThrowBack Night

What year is it? Well, according to the ticket promotion it could be 1972. I offered to drag out my Janis Joplin costume for it but that was met with disdain. Eh, I'll still show up in something retro for the pre-game MeetUp at Doolans tonight. Stop by the Social Media desk if you're going and say hello.

So James Wisniewski gets back in the line-up tonight. I'm pretty sure the almost $80,000 payroll forfeiture stung more than sitting two games. As JR said, he probably should have just been fined for it. But, water under the bridge.

Trent Hunter will be missing tonight's action with a sore foot from Wednesday's game but John Tavares has been confirmed well enough to play tonight after his previous concussion on opening night.

Scary moment there for Blake Comeau yesterday when he hit the ice and stayed there after being blindsided by Letang. But he didn't miss a shift and had assist points on the two goals that were scored by Josh and Radek. Let's see what he does tonight.

Matt Moulson never got out his checkbook last night. Let's hope he needs to after tonight's game.

Rick DiPietro made some excellent saves last night, but he was also tossed around a few times and spent some time on his back like a turtle. Let's look for (Oh, please Scott let's) Dwayne Roloson who played exceptionally well his last game to be in net.

Johnny Z from Islanders Top Shelf and YES!Islanders.com will be there tonight along with OkposoNet's Ken Dick. The Islanders are now running Live Blogs during game nights on their main webpage. Check it out! That's where I'll be. Saves me the trouble since I am a techno jerk and can't figure out how to run one of those.

Also, make sure you check out the Stat Guy, Eric Hornick's game day info. Always very interesting. Impress your friends with details only the stat guy knows!

Okay then. See you tonight.
