Devils 3 - Isles 2 at the Pru

Well, good effort by the young Islanders against the New Jersey Devils. This win keeps the Devils' slim play off hopes alive. Much of it was Marty Brodeur who was stellar. Or as Kovalchuk said "He played like he was 25, not 38."

Frans Nielsen scored both the Islanders goal and tied Bobby Bourne for the most short handed goals by an Islander. The Islanders PK was amazing and gave Lemaire fits. That's an amazing testament to Scott Allen.

Post game report and all the other details of the day (geeze, you'd think it would be boring in Islanders Country, but it wasn't) are here at HockeyBuzz.com.

Michael Grabner did not play tonight... and for good reason as he was awaiting the birth of his first child. No news as of yet how the new family is doing.

Matt Moulson beat Kyle Okposo in Rob Carlin's 10 Question Challenge. I had never doubted he would have. Who knew that Matty had such an amazing background in -- Seasame Street.

Okay, on to the Rangers!
